1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using the Sticky Notes browser extension ("the Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Extension.

2. Description

Sticky Notes is a free, open-source browser extension that allows you to create, edit, and manage virtual sticky notes on web pages. The Extension is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

3. Your Data

  • All notes you create are stored locally on your device.
  • We do not collect, transmit, or store your notes on any external server.
  • You are solely responsible for backing up your notes using the Export feature.
  • Uninstalling the Extension will permanently delete all stored notes.

4. Use of the Extension

You may:

  • Use the Extension for personal or commercial purposes.
  • Modify the source code for your own use (per the MIT License).
  • Distribute modifications under the same license terms.

You may not:

  • Use the Extension in any way that violates applicable laws.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Extension for malicious purposes.
  • Claim the Extension as your own without attribution (per MIT License requirements).

5. Open Source License

The Extension's source code is licensed under the MIT License. This means you are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the software, subject to the following condition:

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
